People are so greedy...

The Consumer Law Group Inc., a Montreal-based law firm, has filed a nationwide class action suit against RIM for the BlackBerry outage that occurred in mid-October. As a BlackBerry user, I can say that I did experience a few inconveniences during the outage, but that's all they were. In fact, I had some very exciting news I wanted to share with my friends and family during that time and when I realized I couldn't text or BBM, I called people - what a novel idea!

The fact that this law firm is trying to sue RIM and that consumers are actually on board is absolutely ridiculous. Does that mean the next time your Internet provider has an unexpected outage you're going to sue them? What about when you encounter construction on the road that makes you late for a meeting, will you sue the City? Where do you draw the line?

Perhaps if all of these people stopped relying on their phones so much, they'd become human again and realize that suing RIM is not only ridiculous, but also greedy and unnecessary.

Worst...Mother...Ever!

A 33-year old Utah woman was accused of trying to sell her 13 year old daughter's virginity for $10,000! That's right, you heard me - ridiculous. As if that wasn't bad enough, she actually convinced her very underaged daughter to model in her underwear for some creep (not once, but twice) and then she tried to sell sexually explicit pictures of her to this guy - what the hell?

She pled guilty and faces jail time - good.

Gap Inc. doesn't recycle their hangers...

I was in Old Navy the other day and was asked if I wanted to take my hanger home. Since I have my own hangers, I said no and then inquired about what they do with them. The sales clerk told me that they throw them away! That's right, not only do they not reuse them, they THROW THEM IN THE GARBAGE! Now, since Old Navy is actually part of the Gap Inc. brand, along with Banana Republic, it led me to do wonder if all three stores do the same thing, and surprise, surprise, they do! So, I did a few google searches and found out that there are over 3200 Gap Inc. stores world wide - that's a lot of hangers in our landfills. Ridiculous!

If you would like to tell Gap Inc. how ridiculous you think it is that they don't reuse (or at least recycle) their hangers, you can try the following:
- Call their global headquarters at 650-952-4400
- E-mail Banana Republic customer service at custserv@bananarepublic.com
- E-mail Gap customer service at custserv@gap.com
- E-mail Old Navy customer service at custserv@oldnavy.com

Good luck.
